Interim Ireland head coach Simon Easterby has named a 33-man squad for the upcoming Emerging Ireland tour.
Naming Munster backrow Alex Kendellen as captain, Easterby will lead the tour which has been designed as an opportunity to build depth within the national ranks.
Unearthing several current Ireland internationals such as Calvin Nash, Jamie Osborne, Jack Crowley and Ciaran Frawley, Joe McCarthy and Cian Prendergast in 2022, the side will once again face the Toyota Cheetahs and Pumas as well as Australian Super Rugby outfit the Western Force.
In addition to the new faces two players who were part of Andy Farrell‘s Ireland squad for the recent Summer Tour of South Africa – Sam Prendergast and Cormac Izuchukwu.
